Human Trafficking & Gomer: Unconditional Love
Friday, January 13, 6:30-8 pm, Room 101
Since January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, we have decided to take a look at Gomer, a woman in the book of Hosea in the Bible. Gomer was a prostitute who was forgiven by God and was loved unconditionally by her husband Hosea even though she rejected God and continued to be unfaithful. God loves us even when we wander, find other sources of comfort, or neglect to grow closer to Him. Learn how to get better at loving God and loving others unconditionally. This session will also include an informative look at the growing human trafficking epidemic.
Coming in February - Ruth & Naomi: Devoted Love
Please join us as LegacyWomen continues our year-long study of faithful women in the Bible in monthly discussions and fellowship. Days and times of gatherings will vary each month to try and accommodate the schedules of all women; some sessions will also include a related activity. Each lesson is a "stand alone," so please don't feel like you must attend all the sessions — just come when you can! Walk-ins are always welcome. This is to be a time of refreshment and being together as we make this journey of faith with each other.
We will be basing most of our discussions on the video series "Twelve Women of the Bible: Life-Changing Stories for Women Today" by Lysa TerKeurst; study guides are available (but not required) for $7, or can be ordered on Amazon. Childcare will be provided. For information, contact Liz Rhodebeck at Lizbetr@sbcglobal.net.
